Let me paint a picture for you, if I may...
We open the show (SHREW) in 8 days. We are just now getting blocking, we are just now beginning to build up our characters (except for Tom, but he's just awesome.), and we are just now getting any real direction in and on the show...
Of all the times I've ever said "we're not ready to open" this is the time that I really mean we're NOT ready to open...
However,
are we headed for disaster? No. In fact, I believe with a full heart that we will pull it off.
The cast wants to, Carlos wants to. I don't believe for a second that this is the type of cast that would sit back and watch a show to "okay" when we now have the opportunity to make it GREAT.
I stayed later today to work on my Character with Carlos.
...I understand the lines but I don't understand the thought process on a couple of them yet, only because I've never heard anybody talk like that...However, there are certain things about Bianca that I adore, and do relate to.
Am I upset that I took this show? No. In fact, I'm thrilled.
I've noticed that even with a lack of vision from the director it's cast has never shown any such characteristic. And even now, with a show being filled with new blocking and 8 days to do it in...They're determined that much more. I love Vanessa. Talked to Louie today...Oddly enough we have a lot in common. He's [planning on] leaving us sometimes at the end of this year for L.A.
More hilarious conversations with Joey over our marriage. *Stuggles to remember funny parts*...*sigh*
And Fred...*sigh*...I would take any role if it meant I could work with Fred.
Tom, Larry, all of them...too cool for words.
I think, over all, today's rehearsal went well.
*Yawn**So tired*
