First: I have noticed that the stereotype figure for the American pretty women here is blonde. They are all blonde. In every T.V show, and every advertisement, Blonde.

The things that I have obtained since I have been here:
  1. One very pretty black purse from mom (I'm also convinced that I will use this one too.)
  2. One very pretty tan purse also from mommy (Not for Christmas, like the other, but just because she loves me.)
  3. 3 red scars. One on my shin and the other two on the inner part of my upper thigh. (to be explained later or not at all.)
  4. $50 from elsa for boots (x-mas present.)
  5. $100 from mom (present)
  6. $50 from daddy (present)
  7. $25 from Lee and Barb (present)
  8. a new wonderful novel that I haven't been able to put down

Things that I have found, or realized since I have been here:

  1. Maroon5 is good fast boat music.
  2. A respect for all American women who are beautiful and NOT blonde.
  3. While I do hate all food stuffs at McDonald and still am going to try and maintain a personal ban on almost all their meals...I do so much love their ice cream.
  4. Sting rays do fly.
  5. Fish...Are stupid.
  6. Fish are really stupid.
  7. a respect for elevators, bread-eating fish, and sour yogurt.
  8. A complete hatred for bad television. English or Spanish.
  9. And that if you're standing on the dock and everyone is watching you, you might as well jump off. Chances are you´re going to get a few cuts (probably on your shin and inner thighs) But at least you´ll impress all the boys and smile when you look back on it. I´m sure there is a moral in that somewhere.

I´m under the assumption that everyone has had a wonderful Christmas back in El Paso, and since this is likely one of the last times I will be typing to you from this computer I want to say I actually have had a rather enjoyable time.

And while I do anticipate getting back into El Paso with lots of cold weather, I'm also going to miss being able to sit out on the dock at night and read with nothing but a beautiful view of golden blue ocean in front of me. You see, it´s funny. I whine so much about having to go on these types of vacations, but in the end, for the most part, I do find something that I enjoy about them. Be it even just little things like reading on a dock.

Anyway, I will be back tomorrow at about 7:30, mainly because we will spend a good hour in traffic trying to get over the bridge. I expect that I will be getting you your present and script sometime the following day Darcy. (Sorry about that, slipped my mind completely until just recently.)
